Vol. 200 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Laois Estate.

28.

asked the Minister for Lands when it is proposed to divide the estate of the late Edward Dunne, Moonbawn, Mountrath, County Laois, among the local smallholders and deserving applicants; if this holding has been acquired by the Land Commission; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Land Commission have decided to proceed for acquisition of this 40-acre property. Owner's solicitors have been informed accordingly and the relevant statutory notices are being published today. It is still too early, however, to forecast the outcome.
