Vol. 201 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Waterford Corporation Staff.

31.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will accede to the request of the Waterford Corporation to appoint an officer to conduct a legal inquiry into the demotion and promotion of members of the staff of the Waterford Corporation on 10th December 1962.

The answer is in the negative.

Would the Minister be so kind as to meet some members of Waterford Corporation, a deputation from the corporation headed by the Mayor, to go into this matter?

Surely that is a separate question?

I will meet any Deputies from the constituency or county who are in the House.

He will get the opportunity of meeting this Deputy during the afternoon.

I would not at all agree to meet a deputation from the corporation.

But the Minister will meet the Deputies?

I will meet the Deputies.
