Vol. 201 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - County Donegal Flooding.

14.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that about two thousand acres of good arable land in the catchment areas of the Murragh River and in the Durnish, Lackburn and Drumholm townlands, County Donegal, are flooded for the greater part of the year, and are now impossible to till; and if he will consider sending an expert to the area to advise him on the best methods of draining the areas.

These small catchment areas are noted for consideration at a later stage in the arterial drainage programme, but, having regard to present commitments, it will be a considerable time before they can be reached.

Question No. 15 postponed.
