Vol. 201 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Daingean (Offaly) Water Supply.

42.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will cause an inquiry to be made immediately into the failure of Offaly County Council to provide the many residents of Killaderry, Daingean, with water supply for drinking and domestic purposes; and if he will approve of the proposal to extend the water main to the county council cottages in question, as there is no water in the immediate district despite many appeals from the residents.

I understand that the provision of a public water supply for Killaderry is not included in the county council's current programmes. The question of my approval to the extension of the watermain does not, therefore, arise.
