asked the Minister for Local Government (a) how many local authorities are at present operating a five-day week for their employees, (b) how many are operating a sick pay scheme for workers, (c) how many pay their employees (i) weekly and (ii) fortnightly, (d) how many have engaged industrial consultants with a view to improving efficiency, and (e) how many are as a result now operating incentive bonus schemes.

The information requested is being obtained from local authorities and will be forwarded to the Deputy.
