Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Health Charges.

16.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of (a) the Dublin city area and (b) Dublin county (i) the estimated total amount paid in rates under the heading of health charges, (ii) the amount paid under that heading by ratepayers on poor law valuations (a) exceeding £50, and (b) not exceeding £50, and (iii) the estimated number of ratepayers not entitled to benefits under the Health Act, full or partial.

The total amount of rates leviable in the year 1962-63 in respect of Health Services was £2,093,000 in Dublin County Borough, £310,000 in Dublin County Health District and £147,000 in Dún Laoghaire Borough. In the County Health District, however, a proportion of the amount leviable was met by the Agricultural Grant.

The information requested at (ii) and (iii) is not available.
