asked the Minister for Agriculture the number of cow-testing associations in the country in 1932 and at present, the Department's contribution to such associations in 1932 and at present, and the average salary paid to cow-testing supervisors at present.

The supervisor is employed by the Association in each case and the salary paid is not available. State grants are paid as follows to the Associations: |

(i) 4/- for each cow under test by an Association; |
||
(ii) Where the number of cows under test by an Association exceeds 250 |
||
(a) a sum of £26 10s. |
||
and |
||
(b) 1/- for each cow over 250 in the Association; |
||
(iii) 3/6d. per essential herd visit by the Supervisor (subject to a maximum of £30 for each Association). |
