Vol. 202 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Central Heating Plant.

4.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in regard to the renewal of central heating station plant, Vote 9, subhead B, No. 6, what work remains to be done; and at what date it is expected to complete such work.

The Lancashire boilers in use at the central heating station are near the end of their useful life and it has been decided to replace them with new turf burning plant in a new boiler house. A contract has been placed for the supply and installation of the new plant. A new boiler house which is being constructed will be finished by September, 1963. It is expected that all the works will be completed by the Summer of 1964.
