Vol. 202 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Killarney Hospital Farm Building.

1.

asked the Minister for Health whether he is aware that plans in connection with a proposal submitted to him by Kerry County Council with regard to the erection of a building on the farm at St. Finian's Hospital, Killarney have been awaiting approval for some time; and if he will state the present position.

I have received a proposal that I should make a grant of 50 per cent of the cost of a scheme for the improvement and equipment of farm buildings at St. Finian's Hospital, Killarney, but I have not received plans as mentioned in the question. The scheme was estimated to cost £10,500.

I have recently informed the health authority that I could not make a grant available and have suggested to them that they should reconsider their scheme in the light of considerations which I have put to them.
