NOTES:
(a) The figures in Column (2) show the position in relation to County Councils as at the 31st March, 1963, and in relation to the County Boroughs, Drogheda Corporation, Dún Laoghaire Corporation and Dundalk UDC as at the 28th February, 1963, while those for the other urban areas show the position at 31st December, 1962. In each case the figures are the latest available. These figures do not include men employed on road works financed under the Employment and Emergency Schemes Vote.
(b) The figures given in Column (3) in relation to the Urban District Councils and County Boroughs (excepting Dublin) represent the total number of former servants who are now on pension. The figures given for County Councils and Dublin CB relate to former road workers only.
Would the Minister see that the Minister for Lands gets a copy of that reply so that he will see the number of people who are employees of local authorities and who are actually on superannuation?
I am sure he will get that.
The Deputy will keep me informed.
Deputy Kitt will keep the Minister informed. He is very keen on pensions for forestry workers.
