Vol. 203 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Roscommon Lands.

79.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to acquire the lands of Mr. Patrick O'Gara, Lecarrow, Lisserlough, Boyle, County Roscommon for the purpose of relieving congestion in the locality.

There are no proceedings pending for acquisition of these lands comprising 57 acres which I understand changed hands some months ago. I shall have the Deputy's interest in the matter brought to the notice of the Land Commission.

80.

asked the Minister for Lands what progress has been made towards the acquisition of the lands of the George Green Estate, Cloonarrow, Castlerea, Roscommon, Record No. S.22502.

Proceedings for acquisition of this 26 acre holding were instituted by the Land Commission last year. Objections to acquisition were allowed following a public hearing in February last, thereby terminating the proceedings.
