Vol. 203 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Availability of Vocational Education.

80.

andMr. McQuillan asked the Minister for Education whether it is a fact that in existing vocational schools, as at present organised, education at both practical and academic level is available to those using the schools.

The education normally available in the day classes in vocational schools is continuation education of two years' duration which due to the shortness of the course and the narrowness of the curriculum does not cater adequately for post-primary education of either the academic or practical type.
