Vol. 203 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - South Dublin Electricity Station.

29.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that, notwithstanding the presentation to him of an appeal by residents of Garville Avenue, Rathgar, Dublin against the approval of plans for an electricity substation at the rere of premises at Rathgar Avenue and Garville Avenue, the Electricity Supply Board have proceeded with the erection of the building; and if he will take steps to halt building operations, pending determination of the appeal.

I understand that building is proceeding but I have no power to require the Electricity Supply Board to halt building pending the determination of the appeal.
