Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Display of Flag Presented by President Kennedy.

2.

andMr. S. Dunne asked the Taoiseach if he will take steps to ensure that the flag presented by President Kennedy to the nation, will be placed on permanent display within the precincts of Dáil Éireann.

The Government have already decided that—subject to the concurrence of the Committees on Procedure and Privileges of the two Houses of the Oireachtas—the flag presented by President Kennedy should be placed on permanent display in Leinster House.

The decision of the Government was conveyed by my Department on 2nd of this month to the Clerks of the two Houses, with a view to having the matter brought before the Committees on Procedure and Privileges.
