asked the Taoiseach the number of persons registered as unemployed in (1) Dublin city and (2) Dublin county at the latest date for which figures are available; and if he will furnish similar particulars for the corresponding date last year.

The numbers of persons on the Live Register on 6th July, 1963, the latest available date, at the local offices in Dublin city and county were 9,221 and 755 respectively. Corresponding figures for 7th July, 1962 were 9,008 and 662 respectively.
