Vol. 204 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Office Premises Act.

15.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce what steps have been taken to implement the provisions of the Office Premises Act, 1958; and if he is satisfied that the bad conditions which obtain in some premises where clerical workers serve, particularly in Dublin city, can be eradicated by the present system of inspection.

The provisions of this Act have been implemented by the making of regulations, the establishment of an Advisory Council and the operation of a system of inspection as envisaged in the Act. The eradication of bad conditions which obtain in any office premises would be assisted if particulars of any such cases were reported to the appropriate enforcing authorities.
