asked the Minister for Health the mortality rate for TB meningitis in the cities of (a) Dublin (b) Waterford (c) Cork and (d) Galway in the years 1922, 1932, 1942, 1952 and 1962 in children under three years of age.
Written Answers. - TB Meningitis Deaths.
The published statistics in regard to deaths from tuberculosis of the meninges and central nervous system, while they classify the figures according to age at death, do not distinguish between areas, except in regard to children under age one year. It would not be practicable at this stage to extract the information requested in the question in respect of years prior to 1962. The information available is in the form of a tabular statement which with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.
Following is the statement:

It will, of course, be appreciated that the area of, for example, the City of Dublin has expanded appreciably in the interval between 1922 and 1962.
