Vol. 205 No. 1

Written Answers. - Infectious Diseases Maintenance Allowances.

185.

asked the Minister for Health what is the maximum allowance payable under the Infectious Diseases (Maintenance) Allowance Regulations to a man with five under-age children whose income ceases on becoming ill with pulmonary tuberculosis.

I presume the question relates to a man with a dependent wife and five under-age children.

The maximum weekly rates which will be effective from 1st November next in such cases will be:—

Where the person is ordinarily resident in a county borough: £7 12s.— inclusive of a rent allowance of 30/-a week.

Where the person is ordinarily resident outside a county borough: £6 16s—inclusive of a rent allowance of 25/- a week.
