Vol. 205 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dáil Debates on Planning Bill.

61.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will arrange to have the Debates on the Bill for the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963 printed in the form of the Debates on the Estimate for the Department of Agriculture; and if he will have them sent to the members of the principal town planning authorities.

I have already made arrangements to have explanatory material on the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963, circulated to all members of planning authorities and further measures for facilitating interested persons in their study of the Act are in course of preparation. I am satisfied that the steps which are being taken will promote a better understanding and appreciation of the provisions of the Bill, as enacted, than would be gained from the publication of a special print of the Debates on the Bill, as introduced, or as reported from Committee.
