Vol. 205 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tyrrellspass (Westmeath) Vocational School.

108.

asked the Minister for Education when he will give the necessary sanction to the plans for the new vocational school in Tyrrellspass, County Westmeath.

I cannot say when I will be in a position to sanction the sketch plans for this school, which were received in my Department on 24th September, 1963. I will however, arrange that a decision as to their suitability will be conveyed to the County Westmeath Vocational Education Committee as soon as possible.

Is the Minister aware there is a grave uneasiness in the area, that the people there would like to have this school built as soon as possible and would be very grateful if the Minister could assure me that there will be no avoidable delay?

The matter will be dealt with as expeditiously as possible.
