asked the Minister for Justice the location of animal pounds in Dublin City, the number of animals detained in each of them by the Gardaí during last year, the amount of fines collected from owners of animals so detained, and the rents and other outgoings on such pounds.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle I propose to circulate with the Official Report a tabular statement showing the location of these pounds and the number of animals detained by the Garda in 1962.
Particulars are not available of fines imposed for offences relating to animals detained in pounds. Rents and other outgoings on pounds are matters for the local authority.
