asked the Taoiseach if the Agricultural Enumeration of 1960 reveals in respect of each county and each province the distribution of agricultural employment for permanent employees over eighteen years of age under the following heads: (1) number of farmers employing permanent employees; (2) number of farms employing permanent employees; and (3) number of farms not employing permanent employees.

Estimates have been made, on the basis of a 10 per cent sample of holdings, as returned at the Agricultural Statistics Enumeration in 1960, of the number of agricultural holdings (one acre and over) with and without permanent male employees aged 18 years and over and the relevant information is given in the following table. Data are not available from that inquiry in respect of the numbers of "farmers" employing permanent employees.
