I am not yet in a position to give a definite date on which the Garden of Remembrance will be opened to the public.
The main part of the construction work is nearing completion but it was recently decided to improve the approach to the Garden by setting back the boundary railing on the east side of Parnell Square. This improvement will, it is hoped, be completed about the middle of 1964.
The form of the memorial sculpture for the Garden remains to be settled.
