Vol. 205 No. 12

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Appointment of Receiver.

22.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that a receiver has been appointed to Messrs. C.H. Arthur Limited; and what investment was made by the Irish Life Assurance Company Limited in that company.

I have learned by inquiry at the Companies Registration Office, Dublin Castle, that a receiver has been appointed and that the Irish Life Assurance Company holds 30,000 £1 ordinary shares and 75,000 £1 7½ per cent redeemable cumulative preference shares in this company. Information such as this is available to any inquirer at the Companies Registration Office.

Mr. Ryan

Is this another blunder?

I do not know.

Mr. Ryan

It looks like it.
