I am informed by the Electricity Supply Board that part of Tarbert Island has been purchased by the Board; the purchase of the remainder is at present the subject of negotiations.
When purchase is complete, site investigation, borings etc., will be carried out and assessed. In the meantime, the Board cannot give the unqualified assurance sought by the Deputy.
