Vol. 205 No. 12

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Turnover Tax: ESB Accounts.

54.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power whether the Electricity Supply Board intend to charge turnover tax on their accounts at a uniform rate to all consumers of electricity; and, if not, what consumers, if any, are exempted from payment of tax on their accounts.

As already announced by the Electricity Supply Board, there will be no increase in the price of electricity as a result of the turnover tax as the Board have decided to absorb the tax for the present.
