Vol. 206 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ordnance Survey Staff.

14.

Mr. Ryan

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware of dissatisfaction amongst the staff of the Ordnance Survey Office which has led to a number of officers making representations to, or seeking interviews with, the Director at the Valuation Office; and that the Director has declined to hear such representations; and if, having regard to the frustration caused as a consequence, he will have steps taken to have the complaints of the staff dealt with in an equitable manner.

The scheme of Concilition and Arbitration for the Civil Service operates in that office and provides a means for dealing in an equitable manner with representations made by the staff through their associations. My information is that the Director has not refused to grant interviews to members of the staff.
