Vol. 206 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Payments to Part-Time Local Authority Employees.

74.

asked the Minister for Local Government what is the present legislation governing ex-gratia payments or pensions which local authorities might wish to give to part-time waterkeepers or cleaners with long service on their retirement.

There is no provision in the Local Government superannuation code which would enable local authorities to award pensions or exgratia payments to part-time servants, such as waterkeepers and cleaners, on retirement.
