Vol. 206 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Advances by Industrial Credit Company.

1.

andMr. McQuillan asked the Minister for Finance what advances were made by the Industrial Credit Company to (a) Ever-Fresh Foods, (b) Webster Hardware International Limited, (c) Padmore and Barnes Limited and (d) Robert Usher and Company Limited; and what was the total sum granted.

As previously indicated to the Dáil, I consider that in principle the disclosure by me of the information sought by the Deputies would not be in the public interest or in the interests of the Industrial Credit Company Limited and its clients. The Credit Company is an independent body operating under the Companies Acts and normally, in the conduct of its affairs, should be allowed the full commercial freedom afforded by those Acts.
