Vol. 206 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fish Landings at County Dublin Harbours.

48.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will indicate in respect of the years 1960, 1961, 1962 and 1963 the estimated value and quantity of fish landed through (a) Balbriggan, (b) Skerries, (c) Rush and (d) Howth, County Dublin; and if he will take steps to ensure that a fair price will be paid to the fishermen.

The figures requested are in the form of a tabular statement which I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to have circulated with the Official Report. One of the primary aims of the Government's Programme of Sea Fisheries Development is to ensure that fair prices are paid to the fishermen.

Following is the statement of landings of sea fish (including shellfish):—
