asked the Minister for Local Government whether Dublin Corporation have power to prevent the keeping of pigs in the Dublin city area.

Dublin Corporation have no express powers to prohibit pig-keeping absolutely in the city area. They are empowered by the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Acts to make bye-laws for the regulation of the keeping of animals or for the prevention of such keeping so as to be injurious to health.
