Vol. 206 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Offaly Estates.

33.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Meleady Estate, Bunsallagh, Croghan, Offaly, will be divided amongst the local deserving applicants in time for the sowing of a crop during the coming Spring; and what is the position in regard to this Estate.

34.

asked the Minister for Lands if the lands on the O'Meara Estate, Ballyfore, Croghan, Tullamore, County Offaly will be divided amongst the local deserving applicants in time for the sowing of crops in the coming Spring; and what is the present position in regard to this Estate.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 33 and 34 together.

It is hoped that some allotments on these two estates will be feasible by next spring. Completion of resale proposals was deferred in expectation of further acquisitions in the locality but these did not prove practicable.
