asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will give a full explanation of the delay in the provision of telephone service to applicants for telephones in the Finglas and Cabra areas of Dublin.

As I explained during the progress of the Telephone Capital Act through the Dáil in December last, it was found necessary to defer the installation of subscribers' telephones generally in order that special attention could be given to the task of building up the trunk network.
