Vol. 207 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ballingeary (Cork) School Transport.

17.

asked the Minister for Education if he will indicate the present position regarding the proposed provision of transport for children attending Ballingeary school, County Cork.

A transport service to Ballingeary boys' and girls' national schools is in operation since 1st October, 1962, from areas to the north and north-west of the schools. The establishment of a second transport service to cater for children residing to the east and north-east of the schools has since been approved and a grant in aid of the cost will be made available when tenders for the operation of the service have been received from the reverend manager and agreement reached with him on the amount of the local contribution to be provided.
