Vol. 207 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - West Galway Telephones.

20.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs what steps he proposes to take to expedite the installation of telephones in the area of West Galway.

As I explained during the course of the Telephone Capital Act in December last, it was found necessary to defer the general body of ordinary applications in order that urgently needed trunk circuiting projects could be pressed forward. The clearance of the waiting lists in all areas will be put in hands when sufficient progress has been made with the provision of additional trunk lines.
