Vol. 208 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers - Dublin Pedestrian Crossings.

46.

Mr. Belton

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware that, owing to the heavy traffic on the main roads running through Dublin North East, most of the subsidiary roads are being used extensively; and if he will cause a survey to be done with a view to increasing the number of pedestrian crossings in the area.

The position is kept under review jointly by the Department, the Dublin Corporation and the Garda Síochána. It is the Corporation which provides the crossings at the direction or subject to the consent of the Garda and with the aid of Road Fund grants.
