The number of applications for the registration of trade marks received and accepted in the year ended 31st March, 1963, were 1,661 and 1,060 respectively. The number refused, withdrawn or not pursued by the applicants in the same year was 418. The corresponding provisional figures for the year ended 31st March, 1964 are 1,734, 1,251 and 375.
The percentages of acceptances of applications to applications received in each of the years referred to were 63.8 per cent and 72.1 per cent respectively.
