asked the Minister for Local Government the increase in wages, the new rate and the operative date, sanctioned for road workers in each county in 1964, indicating the counties where no increase has been sanctioned.

The amount of increases in the wages of county council road workers sanctioned in 1964, the new rates and the operative dates are set out in the following statement:-

NOTES:* Higher rate payable in the neighbourhood of Cork City. Road workers' wages in Carlow and Kildare are adjusted in accordance with a standing formula and such adjustments are not subject to sanction. No proposal for an increase in the wages of road workers has been received from Mayo County Council.
