Vol. 208 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Coast Erosion.

20.

asked the Minister for Finance when it is proposed to attend to the coast erosion problem at Moville, County Donegal, in view of the great necessity for remedial action.

21.

asked the Minister for Finance what proposal is before his Department in relation to the coastal erosion problem at Fahan, Buncrana, County Donegal; and when it is proposed to carry out work to deal with it.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take questions Nos. 20 and 21 together. Under the Coast Protection Act, 1963, the promotion of a protection scheme is a matter for the local authority. No proposals for schemes under the Act have been received by the Commissioners of Public Works from the Donegal County Council.
