My attention has been drawn to the report referred to by the Deputy. Investigations I have made do not indicate that there is a mass exodus of clerk-typists from the Civil Service.
This grade came into being as a result of a reorganisation agreed with the Staff Side under the Scheme of Conciliation and Arbitration. The reorganisation scheme is subject to review in the light of experience when it has been in operation for four years.
