Vol. 209 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Differential Rents.

34.

asked the Minister for Local Government the number of officials employed by Dublin Corporation in operating the differential rents scheme, and the annual cost of administering it.

The information requested by the Deputy is not available in my Department.

35.

asked the Minister for Local Government the total additional revenue to the Dublin Corporation arising from the increase in differential rents.

I am informed that Dublin Corporation expect to obtain an additional £70,000 approximately in the current financial year from the increase in the maximum rents under the differential rents scheme. About £23,000 of this amount will be absorbed by increased payments in respect of rates.
