asked the Taoiseach the number of occasions since the inception of the Road Traffic Act, 1961, upon which a person, who has been returned for trial by a District Justice in County Cork on a charge of dangerous driving causing the death of another person, has had a plea of careless driving accepted by the State on indictment before the Circuit Court or Central Criminal Court in lieu of the more serious charge.

The answer is none.
