(South Tipperary) asked the Taoiseach the number of persons in receipt of (a) unemployment benefit and (b) unemployment assistance in South Tipperary on 1st April for the years 1958 to 1964 inclusive.

With your permission, Sir, I propose to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing for the offices of the Department of Social Welfare situated in Tipperary South Riding, the numbers of persons in receipt of unemployment benefit and of unemployment assistance, including those listed at these offices for such payments at Post Offices in the week preceding 1st Saturday of April for the years 1958 to 1964. No classification of such payments by place of residence of the recipients is available.

Following is the statement:—

NUMBER of persons in receipt of (a) Unemployment Benefit and (b) Unemployment Assistance during the week preceding the 1st Saturday of April in the years 1958 to 1964 at the Local Offices of the Department of Social Welfare situated in Tipperary South Riding.
