Vol. 210 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - East Cork Coast Erosion.

13.

asked the Minister for Finance the result of the investigation by his Department of proposals for the prevention of coast erosion in Youghal and East Cork by the Cork County Council; and when action will be taken on the matter.

The investigation of any of the proposals submitted under the Coast Protection Act, 1963, has not yet been completed. It will be necessary to establish a priority list in relation to the proposals received from all over the country and, for that purpose, a preliminary reconnaissance survey is being undertaken and that will be commenced in a month or so.
