Vol. 210 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Knockmealdown Mountains Forestry Land.

33.

asked the Minister for Lands if his Department will take over an area of mountain land on the Knockmealdown Mountains for forestry development with a view to relieving unemployment at present existing among forestry workers in the Lismore area, County Waterford.

The Forestry Division of my Department is at present dealing with a number of offers in the mountain area north of Lismore but at the present stage of proceedings it is not possible to indicate if and when any of the areas will be acquired.
