Vol. 210 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Five-day Week for Forestry Workers.

14.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state further to a reply of 6th May whether he has yet completed his consideration of the granting of a forty-five hour, five-day week for forestry workers; and, if so, what his decision is in the matter.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to a question bearing on this issue on 27th May, 1964. My Department has advised the trade unions concerned that it is prepared to introduce a 45hour working week for forestry workers but details of the new working week are still the subject of discussion with the unions.
