(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Transport and Power the present total indebtedness of CIE, giving borrowings, share and debenture capital securities, loans, etc.

The total indebtedness of CIE at the 30th May, 1964, was £21,140,922 made up as follows:

1. Capital issues (Stock)

£18,514,460

2. Temporary Borrowings

=

£1,385,539

3. Deferred Payments on Diesel Electric Locomotives guaranteed by the Minister for Finance under the State Guarantees (Transport) Act 1962

=

£1,240,923

Total

=

£21,140,922
