Vol. 211 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Arklow Postal Services.

17.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the grave concern felt and the dissatisfaction expressed by members of the Arklow Chamber of Commerce regarding the postal services in the Arklow area; if it has been brought to his attention that the reorganisation of the services which took place some time ago has resulted in later morning deliveries and earlier night dispatch, so that some business people cannot now get their morning post before leaving home in the morning; and if he will take steps to remedy the situation.

The recent complant referred to by the Deputy is the first which has been received in regard to the working of revised services introduced almost 12 months ago. I am having the complaint investigated and I shall write to the Deputy.
