I am aware of the defective condition of the existing Eddermine Bridge. I am awaiting proposals from the Wexford County Council for replacing the bridge, or for its reconstruction, as they may deem appropriate.

The preliminary plans for the bridge have been approved and contract documents are under examination. When these documents have been brought to finality and the agreement of the other interested parties has been secured, as required by statute, it will be possible for the Wexford County Council to invite tenders for the construction of the bridge.
