Contract drawings for the main bridge contract have been referred to my Department and are under examination. Finality cannot be reached on these documents nor on the remainder of the contract documents for this contract, which are in course of preparation, until a tender is accepted for the opening span. I understand that the county council have invited tenders for this work.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will ascertain from the Kerry County Council when it is intended to commence the erection of the Garfinney Bridge, Dingle, County Kerry.
I understand from the Kerry County Council that work on this bridge commenced on 15th June.
